Our firm currently has two partners. Richard Donachie is our senior partner and practices as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public. He holds the degrees of B.A. LL.B and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management. He was admitted as an attorney in 1991 and is also a conveyancer and notary public. Having served articles and thereafter practised as a professional assistant at one of Durban's foremost commercial law firms, Richard joined Henwood Britter and Caney in 1994 with the initial intention of focusing primarily on litigation.

He has over the years regularly appeared in the Magistrates’ Courts, the High Court, the Labour Court and the Labour Appeal Court. Having a strong commercial law background, coupled with extensive experience in the field of small and medium size business enterprises, Richard utilises his expertise to provide the comprehensive range of services necessary for the successful operation of a business enterprise. From the advice necessary in the setting up of a business, to the preparation of commercial agreements in its day-to-day operations and the managing of the complexities of labour issues, are just a few of the areas where he provides assistance. His broad-based practice covers commercial and labour law, litigation, conveyancing, notarial practice, family law and estates.

Anamika Naidoo is our second partner. She has an LL.B. and completed her articles at our firm, having been admitted as an attorney in 2011. She then practised with in Pietermaritzburg and Durban, before establishing her own practice. When the need arose to have someone head up our litigation department, Anamika was persuaded to re-join the practice, becoming a partner in March 2021. Anamika has extensive litigation experience.
